International conference: "Shelf development: step by step"

The conference organized under support of the Government of Murmansk Region will be held in the framework of SEVTEK exhibition and take place in Murmansk in November, 14th -15th 2007.

Due to the unique geographic location and presence of huge amounts of hydrocarbon resources, Murmansk region begins to play a more important role in Russian economics. To discuss prospects and topical issues of Arctic shelf development, the conference will gather representatives of more than 250 E&P companies, OFS companies, suppliers, research institutions, education institutions training labour force for oil and gas industries, banks, investment and insurance companies, and authorities of all levels.

Today already a number of big-scale Russian and European companies announced their participation in the conference SHELF DEVELOPMENT: STEP BY STEP, such as Sevmorneftegaz CJSC (Russia), Gazflot Ltd. (Russia), Stroytransgaz Jsc. (Russia), Nerpa Shipyard (Russia), Giprospetsgaz Ltd., Total (France), Statoil-Hydro (Norway), Petro Arctic (Norway), DnB NOR Group (Norway), Ramboll Storvik (Norway), REINERTSEN (Norway) etc.

In addition to presentations a panel discussion: "Russian and foreign companies interaction within the Shtokman field development strategy. Problematic questions, prospective solutions" will be organized within the conference programme.
