II International conference «Shelf development: step by step»

The 2nd International Conference Shelf Development: Step by Step will be held in the framework of Murmansk Economic Forum organized under the auspices of the Government of the Russian Federation and the office of Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to Northwestern Federal District on October 15 -17, 2009.

Conference topics
Shtokman GCF Development Project. Phase I:

• current status, perspective plans, technical solutions, logistics;
• advanced technologies transfer;
• principles of interaction between the operator and suppliers;
• professional training;
• supplier cooperation: regional, national, international; alliances building;
• environmental management.

Panel discussions

Formation and development of the offshore oil and gas sector in the Murmansk region. Role of the Shtokman project
Supplies: Russian and foreign participation.

To discuss prospects and topical issues of Arctic shelf development, the conference will gather representatives of more than 250 E&P and OFS companies, suppliers, research institutions, education centers, banks, investment and insurance companies, and authorities of all levels. Participants of the conference will have a chance to get first-hand information on current status of the Shtokman project, its engineering challenges and solutions, to learn operator’s policy towards contractors and suppliers, to discuss issues of international cooperation and education.

Shelf Development: Step by Step conference serves as a platform for establishing contacts and holding meetings between supplier companies, operators, oil and gas experts, education institutions, research centers, regional and national authorities.
